Jelena Spajic founded Advocate Marketing Group in 2010. Spajic specializes in lifestyle, entertainment and consumer markets, and her agency’s capabilities include press strategy, social media, influencer marketing, events and online communications. She has extensive media and influencer connections and a keen eye for detail.
Prior to forming the agency, Spajic served as Associate Vice President at 5W Public Relations for 4 years where she served as head of the lifestyle and entertainment practice for the firm. Spajic played a critical role in helping to propel 5WPR’s Los Angeles satellite office in 2005 to becoming a leading agency that was named as one of Inc. magazine’s fastest growing companies in the country in 2007.
In addition to large agency experience, Spajic kick-started her bi-coastal career working at leading international fashion houses including Diesel Brand Jeans, Chip & Pepper and Rock & Republic, where she was directly responsible for celebrity product placement, influence marketing and media relations. Finding that she wanted to do more than just fashion, Spajic then worked at a boutique publicity firm where she learned how to create publicity campaigns for consumer products and leading talent.
In 2006 PR Week praised Spajic for one of the most important product placement opportunities in the world – securing client Belly Maternity product to be worn in the first image published of the most anticipated baby of all time, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.
During her career, Spajic has launched and cultivated a wide range of high-fashion, luxury and consumer brands utilizing her concrete understanding of the media world and strategic marketing initiatives.
